THE i360 will reopen this morning after Friday's breakdown.

Passengers were stuck for more than an hour after the 3pm flight shuddered to a halt half down the tower.

Those onboard, including young children, remained in good spirits despite the hour-long stoppage.

Bosses closed Brighton's newest tourist attraction while a new data ribbon was sought.

A British Airways i360 spokeswoman said in a statement: "British Airways i360 will re-open on Wednesday, March 1, following successful work to replace a damaged data ribbon.

"We would like to thank our customers for their patience and look forward to welcoming them back on board."
