THE Circle Brighton has opened a 200-seat theatre space along Portslade seafront.

The health and wellbeing centre, based in the old Flexer Sacks building on North Street, Portslade, is home to a number of fitness studios, a healthy eating café and restaurant as well as the theatre area.

It has a bar, large stage, presentation screen and seating for up to 200.

The centre will soon be opening a number of treatment rooms for complementary therapies.

Owner Fash Ghiaci said: “The ethos of The Circle is about bringing people together in the name of health and happiness.

“As well as using the theatre for workshops and events on health and wellbeing topics, we’re also about providing the local community with a fun venue they can use to enjoy theatre shows, parties and functions at too.

“We have the most amazing space here, huge and state of the art, and think everyone who comes to visit us will be surprised at this new Portslade gem and what we have to offer.”

The first shows at the theatre include a contemporary dance show organised by Katie Everett Dale dance on April 21.

This interactive, interdisciplinary show explores through dance and projection our relationship with the digital space and the permanence of our online actions.

Tickets are available through The Circle Brighton.

The local community can join The Circle as a member for £24.99 per month and gain unlimited access to fitness classes as well as discounts on other services.

The centre operates a mind, body, nutrition ethos that focuses on improving health and happiness levels by understanding the connection and importance of these three elements.

It also has charitable aims and is a registered charity with the Charity Commission.

It is based at 55 North Street, Portslade, and the reception number is 01273 911 331.
