SHOREHAM Port hosted a presentation and boat tour or members of the Sussex Chamber of Commerce for their Construction Forum.
More than 40 members of the Chamber enjoyed a presentation by Tim Hague, director of property and development at the port, before embarking on a windy boat tour along the canal with the port’s director of engineering, Tony Parker.
Mr hague discussed developments that have recently taken place at the port such as the recent purchase of No.1 Basin Road South and Maritime House, which have further expanded its property portfolio.
He spoke about up and coming development such as the development of Kingston Wharf and proposed plans for Lady Bee Marina.
Members thoroughly enjoyed the boat tour, taking in the sights and sounds of the port and catching all of the action from the terminals as they cruised down the canal.
Mr Parker provided live commentary along the way informing visitors about the day to day running of the port and all the businesses that operate on the site.
Ana Christie, Sussex Chamber of Commerce chief executive, said: “It was a fantastic event for Sussex Chamber members involved in the construction industry.”
