EIGHT big brands have signed in at a shopping centre in under two months.

New names have regularly been appearing at Churchill Square in Brighton.

They range from American lingerie giants Victoria’s Secret and home fragrance specialists Yankee Candle to French make-up experts Lancôme and Kat Von D Beauty.

Centre director Mark Buchanan-Smith said he was delighted to have been able to welcome such a large number of new brands in such a short space of time.

He said: “It’s been an extremely exciting period of new additions at the centre.

“Victoria’s Secret got the ball rolling with a brand new 4,000 square feet first for Brighton shop at the end of May, one of only 30 in the UK, and since then the good news has just kept coming.

“Calzedonia welcomed sister brand Intimissimi into its sizeable store, further expanding their offering of swimwear into lingerie, and then Yankee Candle opened doors to another first-for-the city concept store last week.

“Combined with Kat Von D Beauty, Make Up For Ever, Buxom, Lancôme and Elizabeth Arden all opening new concessions in Debenhams, the amount of options for the people of Brighton just keep growing.”

Alongside the new brands, youngsters visiting the centre have also had a treat as hugely popular Build-A-Bear Workshop reopened after a substantial facelift.

Mr Buchanan-Smith said: “We have so much going on in the centre with even more exciting news set to come as the year progresses.

“In February we also announced that Zara would be doubling its presence.”
