SUSSEX Beds continued its Wonderful Acts campaign in Bexhill on Saturday.
To help the annual carnival get into full swing, shoppers were surprised when they were handed free chocolates from the store.
The campaign aims to help people in the towns the shops serve feel wonderful by giving unexpected gifts.
MD Steve Pickering said: “Most people like to indulge in confectionery during the town’s carnival so we thought it would be a nice gesture to give away some tasty treats to thank the people of Bexhill.
“We have been part of the local community for more than 30 years so what better way to get into the carnival spirit than to give something back to our customers.
“We hope we helped everyone who received one of our gifts to feel great.”
Staff from Sussex Beds, which is based at King Offa Way, Bexhill, handed out 100 free boxes of chocolates.
The Wonderful Acts campaign will be continuing throughout the year in towns where Sussex Beds has a store.
