LAW firm Coffin Mew sent a dozen of its brightest legal minds back to school to help revamp classrooms.

The firm first became involved with Shepherd’s Down special school in Winchester seven years ago when partner Peter Fellows began volunteering as a classroom assistant.

He has since gone on to become a governor of the school and Coffin Mew’s redecorating has become an annual endeavour.

This year 12 members of the commercial property team, based in Brighton, visited the school to give a much-needed freshen up to its classrooms.

Peter, who orchestrated the activity, said: “Shepherd’s Down School first came to our attention nearly a decade ago when my daughter did her work experience at the school.

“It is a wonderful place catering for the very wide-ranging needs of pupils we are delighted to be able to help the school each year.

“Our team are surprisingly handy with a paintbrush, so for us, this is a great opportunity to give back to the community.

“It’s a nice team bonding effort too.”
