Sahara wall advert censored: no telephone, no name

AFTER: The Sahara restaurant after its recent facelift AFTER: The Sahara restaurant after its recent facelift

The advert on a wall for the Middle Eastern restaurant, Sahara in 103 Western Road, has had its name and telephone number painted out. The picturesque mural remains, though, with a mosque in the distance.

Action by the East Brunswick Residents’ Association has eventually born fruit and pressure by the council's planning department has forced the owners to remove any identifying details that could be construed as an advertisement.

The agreement was to remove/paint over the advert, not just paint over the contact details (notice the signwriters email still there).
It wasnt just EBRA though, many others complained
