The last in the chain of 16 new centres for under-fives and their families opened this week.
The official launch of the Hangleton Park Children's Centre, in Harmswoth Crescent, Hove, on Thursday marked the completion of a two-year Brighton and Hove City Council project.
Each of the centres acts as a one-stop shop for families to find access to play facilities as well as health, social and other support services.
The city has created six "hub" centres with a wider range of amenities and ten "gateways", including Hangleton.
Babies and toddlers enjoyed the opening, joining a sing and sign session and playing among the new toys.
