This Saturday, 19th September, Knoll Park (Between Stapely Road and Rowan Avenue) will be the venue for a Local Produce Festival, run by the Brighton and Hove Food Partnership and The Hangleton and Knoll Project.

Highlights will includes stalls selling a variety of produce, from fruit and vegetables, to meat, honey and eggs; information on cooking and growing food, food related activities and cookery demonstrations, berry picking and a smoothie bike, as well as information about local projects.

The volunteer-run Community Café in the Park will be open for the event, and selling tea, coffee, cakes and more.

The Festival runs from 11am to 3pm, Saturday 19th September.

Other important information from local groups includes the news that ‘Sunbeams Too’ Toddler Group have changed the day/time of their Hangleton session at Hangleton Community Centre from Monday mornings to Thursday mornings, from 9.30am – 11.30m. The Wednesday morning ‘Sunbeams’ Session at St Richards Church in Egmont Road remains unchanged.

The Sunbeams/Sunbeams Too Committee are eager for new volunteers to come aboard so would be delighted to hear from anyone interested in helping out, or you can attend the AGM on Wednesday 21st October at St Richards Church in Egmont Road at 11am- Tea, coffee and cakes will be provided!

On the subject of AGMs, The Hangleton and Knoll Festival Committee will be holding their Annual General Meeting on Friday 16th October 2009, at 7.30pm. This will take place at St Richards Church and Community Centre in Egmont Road.

The Committee would love to see anyone there who has an interest in joining the committee, or who would just like to find out more about what the Committee have achieved this year and the exciting plans for the next 12 months!
