Hangleton Brass Band is on the lookout for new tuba players to fill places available in its adult and youth groups.

There are two vacancies available for experienced tubists in the 80-strong band, but budding young beginners are also encouraged to come along and learn from the experts with instruments and tuition provided for free.

Playing “everything from Mozart to Miller to Mercury,” the Hangleton musicians have been entertaining audiences around Sussex since 1965.

Anyone interested in joining should contact band manager Rachel Taylor on 01273 388702, or come along to rehearsals held every Friday at 7.45pm in Hangleton Junior School Hall.
