Rob Evans, community correpondent: Reporter's profile
I've been a big football fan all my life. Supporting QPR since I was 10, when I moved close to Loftus Road. I moved from Ealing to Haywards Heath in 2003 (my wife is originally from HH), and got to know Mark Russ, the new HHTFC chairman, when our respective son's did a trial for the Brighton Academy last Sept. We used to have a mad rush down to Worthing on a Monday night after school (both our son's are at Ardingly College Prep school), to watch them train and we would talk football on the touchline. Which led to Mark asking me to become Community Liaison Officer, when he took over HHTFC. It's a very exciting time to be involved with HHTFC, knowing the new regime and their plans.Particularly as both my sons, Louis 10 and William 12 are football crazy.
I have bachelor of technology degree in computer science from Brunel Uni and an MBA from Henley-the-Management College. I have worked for Shell, British Airways, Lehman Brothers, JP Morgan, Deutche Bank and currently UBS - all in IT. Laterly as a website developer, recently developing the website for Lindfield FC Juniors - http://www.lindfieldfcjuniors.org/home/football - who both my son's play for. I have run several marathons including London and New York, but keep fit mostly now in the gym and playing football/cricket/tennis/squash/etc with my boys. I enjoy rock music, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, ZZ Top, Stray, etc and my claim to fame is that I was in the same class at school as Adam Ant.
