A senior physiotherapy lecturer at Brighton University is looking for volunteers who are suffering from lower back-related leg pain.

The aim is to recruit them to take part in a study during which they will receive physiotherapy treatment.

The project is being led Collete Ridehalgh, who's area of research is looking at the way in which individuals with spinally referred leg pain respond to a common physiotherapy intervention, targeted at moving nervous tissue.

A spokesman for the university said: "Researchers are looking at how physiotherapy intervention helps patients, with a view to improving the management of pain and treatment."

Volunteers will receive an assessment and then a physiotherapy treatment at the university's School of Health Professions in Darley Road, Eastbourne.
