Last year (June 23rd 2012) there was an event in Brighton, hosted by the Threshold architecture and built environment centre, in which a local political speaker was “attacked” by a glitter-sprinkler and heckled the speaker about his support for anti-squatting measures which criminalises trespass in residential property.

The speaker, Robert Nemeth, made a formal complaint of common assault and battery and a member of the audience was arrested and charged. The case was due to be heard on April 5th 2013.

Crown Prosecution Service has just decided to discontinue proceedings and the matter is now at an end.
