A new scheme to tackle inequality in the most deprived areas of the city is being piloted in Moulsecoomb.
A review carried out has revealed Brighton and Hove contain some of the most deprived areas in England.
Many households have no-one in employment, many people have left school early without qualifications so are therefore dependant on benefits.
Turning the Tide aims to tackle these issues offering family support and early intervention to resolve serious problems while enforcing tough anti-social behaviour legislation for persistent offenders.
