Coast road chaos and Poohaven decision cause concern

The coast road traffic chaos and "Poohaven" will be fresh in people´s minds when Peacehaven Town Council´s planning and highways committee meets next Tuesday.

The meeting, on August 26, will be held at Community House in the Meridian Centre, Meridian Way.

The meeting follows the recent controversial decision to grant Southern Water permission to build its Poohaven sewage plant at Lower Hoddern Farm.

And it comes amid growing concerns about the A259 "sustainable transport corridor" and bus lane scheme.

The gridlock shows few signs of easing and many fear the situation will worsen when the new school term start next month.
