Opinion: stop the trade in fireworks

Over the last few days we have been subjected to a bombardment of fireworks and bangers here in Portslade. If only people could give a little thought to the pain and suffering that is caused to thousands of animals every year from now up until New Year.

Following on from a previous report of the vandalism problems in Mile Oak Recreation Ground Councillor Leslie Hamilton and myself met with PCSO Jeremy Rouse at 17.00 hours on Friday evening and did a security and safety check on the park.
