Youth Forum Does Portslade Proud Last Friday evening I was priveleged enough to attend 'Bridging the Gap' at Portslade Village Centre. This event was a celebration of intergenerational talent in Portslade arranged and hosted by Portslade Youth Forum. They put together a fantastic programme of entertainment and raised £190 in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust through donations and a raffle. Portslade Youth Forum aims to be a representative voice for young people in Portslade and break down generational barriers and perceptions. They are an integral part of Portslade Local Action Team and Portslade Community Forum and are actively involved in local decision making. They are always ready to volunteer at community events. I am sure everyone who came along to 'Bridging the Gap' will agree that all the young people involved are an absolute credit to Portslade and should be proud of themselves for all their enthusiasm and dedication to the community.
