Probably the most popular event in the Rottingdean’s year , the Annual Village fair will be taking place next Saturday the 6th of August.
The fair will be officially opened at 11-15 by television personality Michael Aspel and will be held on the Village Green and the neighbouring Kipling Gardens.
The event will be getting under way at 10am when people, dressed as characters from Kipling stories, will assemble outside the White Horse Hotel for a procession along the High St to the Fair. The Author lived in the Village around the turn of the last century and wrote some of his most famous works there.
There will be all kinds of stalls and games and organisers are hoping for good weather for the day.
