A new project to deliver the Seaford Vision was discussed during the Seaford town council’s first meeting of the year.
Impact Seaford is a new project which is working to develop projects that will deliver the Seaford vision of making better use of its costal location, by improving gateways across the town centre and to the seafront.
Seaford town leader, Ian White, and the town clerk, Sam Shippen, were made representatives for the town council on the Impact Seaford committee and a final draft of Impact Seaford will be planned for the next upcoming months.
Also discussed was the Young Mayor award for the Seaford area which allows young people aged under 18 to be recognised for something special they may have done.
The young mayor for Seaford, Amy Gough, said: “These and other achievements will be celebrated later in the spring. This will be the final event in a busy and amazing year, as young mayor.”
A police report from the previous 90 days was read at the meeting, on Thursday, January 18.
It stated cast iron items had been stolen from five different houses in December using wheelie bins.
Police are urging the community to work with them and take their bins back as soon as possible after collection day. Seven burglaries were targeted in the Southward of Seaford, making it the most targeted area in the town.
