Seaford Police have released a partially revised timetable for the next round of neighbourhood panel meetings due to forthcoming operational commitments.

Neighbourhood panels allow local authorities and agencies to come together with community representatives to discuss problematic issues within the town's wards, giving residents more influence over the way that their area is policed.

Sergeant Chris Veale said: Every community benefits from neighbourhood panels, they are a way of getting residents, police, local authorities and agencies in one room and work out the root causes of problems in our areas.

"This creates and develops closer relationships and overall gives local people the power to help manage their neighbourhood."

The revised schedule is as follows:

North Ward: Thursday 17th February, 7pm, Vale Road Community Church (New date)

Central Ward: Wednesday 2nd March, 6pm, 37 Church Street

West Ward: Thursday 17th March, 7pm, St. Andrews Village Hall (New date)

East Ward: Wednesday 20th April, 7.15pm, St Luke's Church

South Ward: Tuesday 19th April, 7pm, 37 Church Street
