Mankini-wearing amateur sky divers are raising money for the Connor Saunders Foundation.

Money is being raised in memory of the 19-year-old from Woodingdean, who died last April after sustaining head injuries due to an assault.

Connor’s family set up the foundation to support three causes close to his heart with money raised paying for life-saving equipment to local football clubs, funding football coaching for disabled children and supporting the Organ Donor Register.

After his death Connor's organs saved five other lives as he joined the register.

Fundraiser Ethan Scanlon,  19, from Woodingdean, said: “ I've jumped out of a plane by myself at 3,500 feet, but I've always wanted to do the 12,000 feet jump.

"The foundation is a fantastic cause and it has had overwhelming support over the last few months.

"Even some celebrities have acknowledged The Connor Saunders Foundation, which is amazing.”

Mr Scanlon has joined a fundraising website in order to raise money for the foundation.

He plans to do the skydive at some point during the early spring and welcomes any charitable donations.
