A group of Woodingdean residents, along with others associated with the area, have published their own cookbook.
Called “Woodingdean Then and Now” it combines memories of Woodingdean along with the favourite recipes of the contributors.
The idea for the book came from Woodingdean resident Phil Parsons following an exhibition of the same name held earlier this year at Holy Cross Church. The exhibition told the story of Woodingdean over the years and was a great success drawing people from far and near.
The book which cost £5 includes something for everybody such as a recipe for Grandma’s Tart to another for making a Hilumni Kebab. Money raised will go to the maintenance of the Church building.
To obtain your copy of the book you contact Phil at: philparsons2003@yahoo.co.uk or you can phone her at 01273 683918.
