Should the snows come this winter the Brighton Suburb of Woodingdean is ready. In partnership with CityClean, the Woodingdean Community Association is prepared to supply shovels which can be borrowed for clearing pathways, pavements and even roads. The Village is one of the highest parts of the Brighton area and is often hardest-hit should snow come..
The Java café – the community’s volunteer-run café in Warren Way – will act as a collection point for the shovels as well as a contact point where those willing to help can be put in touch with those needing it. Help is especially needed from residents who have a 4x4 who could help with shopping, collection of medicines, hospital visits and other things.
Residents wanting to volunteer their help or who need can contact the café on: 308840.
