The snow hit Woodingdean hard this weekend making it difficult for people to get around and many elderly and disabled people prisoners in their own homes.
However, local Councillor Dee Simson and a team of volunteers were on hand to clear up pathways and pavements as well as hiring out shovels. In partnership with Cityclean who provided the shovels, the Woodingdean Community Association set up the scheme which is co-ordinated from the Java Café in Warren Way. Volunteers were also on hand to do shopping and collect medicines etc.
Anybody still needing help should call the Café on: 308840.
