Update: The winner of the competition is Andrew Moss of Sandhurst Avenue, Brighton.
There is a sizzling summer of sport ahead.
The Barmy Army will be cheering on England as they do battle in the Twenty20 World Cup and then the Ashes.
Rugby fans will be willing the British and Irish Lions to victory in South Africa while Formula One followers will be hoping either Jensen Button or Lewis Hamilton can make it on to the winner’s podium at the British Grand Prix.
There are also World Cup qualifiers for Fabio Capello’s England team, the Tour de France and Wimbledon.
If that is not enough to keep you busy Waterstone’s have a number of books on sale inspired by this summer’s sporting feast.
We have teamed up with Waterstone’s to offer a fabulous competition where one lucky reader will win a £100 Waterstone’s gift card which can be spent in any branch of the store or online at www.waterstones.com.
The range of books to tempt you includes Chris Hawkes’ Twenty20 Cricket Guide and Ashes to Ashes by Marcus Berkmann.
For rugby fans there is Once Were Lions by Jeff Connor while F1 buffs will enjoy Senna Vs Prost by Malcolm Folley who discusses the rivalry and spats between two of the sport’s iconic drivers.
My England Years by Bobby Charlton will tie in nicely as football fans digest the World Cup qualifiers against Kazakhstan and Andorra.
Wimbledon fortnight is marked by two great tennis books – Centre Court: The Jewel in Wimbledon’s Crown and Pete Sampras: A Champion’s Mind by Peter Bodo.
Sex, Lies and Handlebar Tape by Paul Howard will go nicely with the Tour de France along with Tour Climbs by Chris Sidwells.
To round off Waterstone’s summer choice Jelleyman’s Thrown A Wobbly by Jeff Stelling – which offers a humorous taste of life in the Soccer Saturday studio - will usher in the 2009-10 Premier League season.
