Regarding the debate about the naked bike ride through Brighton, which had a police escort in full view of the elderly and young children. I feel the senior police officer who allowed this event to take place may have committed a slight faux pas as he, or she, will have surely set a precedent.
What happens at the forthcoming Pride festival if, for example, 500 men decide to go completely naked in front of young children?
Will they be arrested for breaking a public decency law?
Will the police do nothing so they can't be accused of being homophomic?
Lets face it, some of the men who go to Pride don't need much encouragement to walk through Brighton with their buttocks on full show so maybe the police action with the bike ride has opened a can of worms.
It will be interesting to see if they turn the other cheek!
