Cabbies, start your engines

Cabbies will battle it
out this weekend for the
prestigious title of Taxi
Driver of the Year 2008.
Almost 70 drivers will
take part in time trials
over a slalom course in
Madeira Drive,
Brighton, on Sunday,
March 30.
The event, which raises
thousands of pounds
each year for The Argus
Appeal, starts at 10am.
Tony King, of sponsors
Westminster Taxi
Insurance, said:
"Hopefully we'll be able
to raise as much money
as possible for The
Argus Appeal."
First prize is £1,500 and
second is £1,000.

slalom course well that says a lot..why dont they hold it from palmeira sq to churchill sq.and the winner is the one who can go the fastest almost kill the most pedestrians peep the most and shout the most profanities to any one who dares get in there way.maybe extra points for using the pavement at waitrose or mcdonalds and making the most poeple jump.
