A 14-year-old boy died after driving a car into a bungalow at more than 100mph.

Sundeep Singh Majhail was killed along with his passenger friend Shewan Perrera, aged 20.

The pair were in a Toyota Avensis which ploughed through a fence, demolished a porch and rolled over another car.

An inquest heard how the car was travelling at least 40mph over the speed limit.

Mr Perera, 20, of Heathfield, Pound Hill, Crawley, died at the scene from multiple head injuries.

Sundeep, also of Heathfield and a pupil at Hazlewick School, Crawley, was taken to the Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath before being transferred to St George's Hospital in Tooting, London. He was operated on and put on a life support machine but died about a week later.

The hearing in Haywards Heath was told how the accident happened after the black Toyota rounded a bend on the B2036 London Road, north of Balcombe, near Haywards Heath, at about 12.45pm on October 27.
