These days, it seems as though the whole world is going green, and nowhere has more inspirational stories than Sussex. From exciting food projects to eco-schools, from extraordinary Transition Town projects to hundreds of campaign groups, people all over the county are working towards a greener, fairer, safer world.
The 2008 Argus Eco-Awards will champion those people who are doing so much more than just switching to energy saving light bulbs, and who have shown initiative, imagination and commitment to their community and their environment.
We want you to tell us who your eco-heroes are and there are eight categories you can nominate people or organisations in. Is there someone who has worked tirelessly to make people aware of environmental change? Is there a company which has changed its polluting ways? Has someone on your street turned their house from a rickety old shack to an eco-dream home?
Find out more about the categories using the menu on the left, nominate your green hero with our nomination form, and keep checking back for updates until we pick our award winners in October.
