The whole concept of how we build is changing. No longer are our buildings simply static objects with one function, they are becoming places to live, work, generate electricity, grow food and secure us against an increasingly uncertain future.

And with zero carbon technologies increasingly available, it is no wonder green developments are springing up all over the place – from tower blocks to office blocks to houses.

We want to hear about innovative and genuinely environmentally friendly developments: large scale projects which have succeeded against the odds, smaller projects which have overcome their own obstacles.

Judges will be looking for brave use of new technologies, quirky twists such as green roofs and traditional techniques used to best effect.
