Leaders proud to support Help for Heroes

In an effort to reduce their impact on the environment this last Christmas, local letting specialists Leaders decided against sending out Christmas cards to their associates and clients, opting instead to put the money to better use in the form of a charitable donation.

Leaders’ directors chose Help for Heroes as the recipient, a registered charity which raises money to support members of the Armed Forces who have been wounded in the service of their country.

Directors Richard Churchill (right) and Noel Cresswell, were delighted this month to present a cheque on behalf of Leaders for £1000 to Help for Heroes co-ordinator, Sarah Lydiard-Wilson.

Says Richard: “Help for Heroes is a commendable charity which was founded out of a desire to help our wounded Servicemen and women returning from Afghanistan and Iraq... They firmly believe that anyone who volunteers to serve in time of war, knowing that they may risk all, is a hero.

“As a long-established company with hundreds of employees and thousands of clients across the South, we are all too aware that the family and friends of many of our staff, landlords and tenants have been severely affected by the war in Afghanistan and Iraq... These are ordinary people who have done extraordinary things and are now living with the consequences of their service for life.

“Help for Heroes does a fantastic job in helping these admirable people to recover and make the best of their lives after returning from war and we are delighted to be able to support their efforts.”
