Estate agent Connells has donated just under £2,000 to the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC). The money, which was raised at an annual event for senior staff, was recently presented to the NSPCC at the agent’s head office.
Chief exectutive Stuart Flavell said: “I am delighted that we are yet again able to make a donation to the NSPCC and support such an important cause.
“We have made a number of donations to the NSPCC over recent years and it’s a pleasure to be able to continue this.”
The charity runs a range of locally based services for children and families; campaigns to help change and improve the lives of children; runs a helpline for adults to call if they are concerned about a child and provides ChildLine, the UK’s free, confidential 24-hour helpline and online service for children and young people to call if they need help or advice.
Sally Phipps, community fundraising manager at the NSPCC, said: “A huge thank you to all staff from Connells estate agency for raising a fantastic amount for our charity. We rely heavily on the generous donations from members of the public and businesses, and without their support, we couldn’t continue to run our vital services protecting children and young people who are victims of abuse.”
