Award-winning housebuilder CALA Homes has unveiled a new showhome at its Cresswell Park development in Angmering, West Sussex, offering a glimpse into the lifestyle on offer in this sought-after location.

This new development comprises a collection of one and two bedroom apartments and two, three, four and five bedroom homes. Each of the homes offer light and spacious interiors as well as thoughtfully landscaped surroundings centred around an attractive green, including a safe children’s play area and open spaces.

The Nicholson showhome is an impressive four-bedroom home with its own private balcony and garden. It features all of the latest interior design trends and has been designed by Hayley Holland, Interior Designer at Vogue Showhomes.

Hayley said: “The Nicholson is a spacious and versatile family home. When choosing the colour scheme, we wanted a combination that was modern and contemporary, but also bright and uplifting.

‘’The open-plan kitchen/dining area is the hub of the house, where families would spend a lot of time, so we created a comfortable space, that would be perfect to unwind in. We used an on-trend, textured wallpaper, ideal for a fashion-conscious family with a keen eye on the latest trends. We also included a modern, comfortable sofa adorned with gorgeous lime green and raspberry cushions, as well as a layered glass table, adding style to the space without compromising on comfort.

‘’The living room is one of our favourite rooms in the house as it is more design driven. To maximise space we used a wine coloured, bespoke, angular sofa that fits perfectly next to the bay window, while the colour brightens the entire room. The elegant feature wall and stunning bespoke artwork differentiates this room from the casual dining/family room. It’s comfortable enough for the family to relax in, but is also presentable enough for mum and dad to host friends.

‘’The master bedroom could easily be mistaken for a boutique hotel suite. The luxurious deep red sofa at the end of the bed, lavish vase, mirror, and plush throws and pillows all add to the grandeur, as does the private balcony. However, the focal point of this bedroom is the gorgeous bespoke headboard which has a cut-out section that includes a canvas created by our own artist. We wanted to make this the perfect hideaway for parents.’’

‘’The guest bedroom has more of a laid-back feel, perfect for visiting family and friends. We kept this room as natural as possible.

‘’For both the children’s bedrooms we looked outside the development for ideas and themes, highlighting the best of the local area. For the boy’s bedroom we drew on inspiration from the local rugby club, Worthing RFC. We commissioned a bespoke mural of rugby player’s silhouettes above a lime green stripe, again, continuing the colour theme through the entire property.

“Worthing Pier isn’t far from the development, so we decided to use this as the basis of the design for the girl’s bedroom, using a fun fair scheme. We made a feature of the sloped ceilings with a bespoke mural, which stretches from floor to ceiling and can’t be missed.

‘’The key to the design of this house was to be brave with colour. We used a neutral base and added bright accent colours to lift the design and brighten up the entire property.’’
