Politics and music meet in two Brighton film premieres this week.

When Crosby Stills Nash and Young reformed for a US tour in 2006, anyone expecting them to dig into their back catalogue of woozy West Coast harmony-drenched hits was set to be disappointed.

Instead, the gigs focused on Neil Young's Living With War album, which was inspired by his anger at the Bush administration and the war in Iraq.

This film is a document of the Freedom Of Speech tour, and the crowd's reactions to no-holds-barred songs like Let's Impeach The President.

Meanwhile, as the 140th Trades Union Congress comes to the Brighton Centre next week, unionists and rock and rollers will be rubbing shoulders at the Latest Music Bar to see footage of the Left Field Stage at this year's Glastonbury festival.

The film will feature performances by The Automatic, former Libertine Carl Barat, British Sea Power, Reverend And The Makers, Levellers, Alabama 3, The Beat and Billy Bragg, as well as information on campaigns by Rock Against Racism, Miscarriages Of Justice, Anti Slavery International and Jail Guitar Doors.

Once the Brighton premiere is over, guest DJ Don Letts will be spinning some tunes, and there will be solo sets from artists who supported this year's Left Field.
