Two-thirds of the way through the Brighton Fringe, this was the perfect show to revive any flagging spirits.

Crazy P, with the help of a fantastic crowd, created a party cram-packed with meaty bass lines dripping with irresistible beats.

The Nottingham five-piece have been putting out their blend of disco, house and jazzy soul dance music for 20 years.

Why they still remain relatively anonymous funk only knows. Their newly released seventh album Walk Talk Dance Sing does everything the title suggests and the Brighton crowd needed no cajoling.

Chris Todd and John Baron formed the band back in 1995, but it was the disco diva Danielle Moore who strode on, a giantess in orange, and took the energy by the scruff of the T-shirt.

With her black box of tricks Moore's vocal roasted and chilled. She looked like Cleopatra and moved like the sand was too hot to stand on.

As all good divas do, Moore had a change of outfit half way through. The boys in the band played on and were mighty but everyone waited for the leader of the pack to re emerge so that the party could crank up and the happiness beam.
