Zach Williams did make the mistake of confusing Hugh Grant for Pierce Brosnan, but he was quickly forgiven as the crowd were swept along by the soaring harmonies that are The Lone Bellow.

The trio of Williams, Brian Elmquist, and Kanene Pipkin, engaged with their audience from the start and gave a committed live performance that totally gripped the room.

They rocked, they gospelled, they souled, and then they played three quiet songs that had the audience spellbound, with Watch Over Us really hitting the spot.

"We're all in this together," said Zack, who fronted the band with an enthusiasm and honesty that was infectious. These were three fine individual singers who were visibly elevated by singing together.

The title track from their 2015 release Then Came The Morning was anthemic and made you reach for your lighter.

During their one and three quarter hour set not one of them missed a note, cracked or faltered.

The sound was excellent and Pipkin's mandolin gave the music that little something extra.

Mention should be made of Joseph, the three ladies who started the evening with some cool harmonies, and created just the right mood for The Lone Bellow to follow.
