Brighton Festival ended on a high with the final four Argus Angels being presented for some of the most outstanding performances, including two chosen by the public.
The Argus Angel Reader Award went to Bite-Size Lunch Hour and Soiree at The Cella in The Sanctuary Café, Hove.
The collection of ten-minute plays were nominated by many of our readers via our website.
Heather Taylor said: "I loved that I saw so many shows in one place at one time."
Another reader Amanda Urwin- Mann said: "A great vehicle for both new writers and emerging actors to showcase their talents and a treat for the lucky audience."
Nick Brice, artistic director of White Room Theatre and Film, which put on Bite-Size, said: "It is absolutely wonderful to be recognised in this way. It is really nice after three years to have gained so many fans.
"I think Bite-Size appeals to people because at the end of a performance they will have seen a number of different plays and have gone through many different emotions."
In second place was The Show Below, at Brighton Media Centre and third position went to Brighton Beach Boys performing Pet Sounds V Sgt Pepper, at St George's Church, Kemp Town.
007 - My Other Life, at The Friends Meeting House and La Scandal, at The Udderbelly, came fourth and fifth respectively.
The public vote also ensured Mario Queen Of The Circus was named overall winner of the Brighton International Buskers Festival, which was part of Fringe Street.
The American entertainer was chosen from 11 acts after performing complex juggling tricks, while maintaining an incredible accent and a perfect moustache.
He will now be invited to take part in next year's event .
The first Argus Angel was also awarded to one of the festival's lunchtime concerts.
Jazz group Portico Quartet, who played at the Pavilion Theatre, were nominated for the award by Jakki Phillips, The Argus's features editor.
She said: "The amazing thing about the Portico Quartet is that their sound is so original that there's no one else quite like them."
Traces, which was performed at the Theatre Royal, was presented with an award after a nomination from entertainment reporter Duncan Hall. He said: "It is like seeing a Cirque Du Soleil show taken out of the big top arena and into your lap."
