1... My First Birthday
FunFair Club, King’s Road, Brighton, Saturday, September 7

The little boutique club at the top of King’s Road is celebrating its first birthday with suitably child-like abandon. On the night they’ll be handing out free drinks, painting faces, spinning the drinks deal wheel of fortune, unleashing a prize balloon drop and bringing out performance acts... which might include snakes.

9pm, free before 11pm, www.funfairclub.com

2... Megadance
Concorde 2, Madeira Drive, Brighton, Friday, September 6

The UK bass night is now on to its fifth Brighton edition and is headlined by D’n’B heavyweight DJ Hazard. The Birmingham producer was spotted by DJ Hype and tapped-up by the genre legend for his Playaz label, releasing a solid stream of material since. He’s joined on the bill by The Prototypes and True Tiger.

3... Disco Deviant: Promote Diversity Special
Audio, Marine Parade, Brighton, Saturday, September 7

Disco Deviant’s Pablo Contraband and DJ Kate Wildblood have teamed-up with Karol Michalec of Brighton Supports LGBT Russia to create this special edition of the Brighton promoter’s regular night. All the funds raised on the door will be going to the LGBT awareness charity All Out to help with their fight against Russia’s anti-gay legalisation. This isn’t your average charity night though – it runs alongside concurrent events at some of the world’s most renowned clubs. Headlining is house music big-hitter Seamus Haji.

5... Love Beat Presents Madtech Records
Coalition, King’s Road Arches, Brighton, Saturday, September 7

MadTech is the offshoot of Kerri Chandler’s legendary Madhouse label. With Chandler’s name still attached to the project, MadTech is for the releases that didn’t reflect the house-centric tone of the original imprint. Bringing their show to the city’s shoreline are disco and house production duo PBR Streetgang, deep house Beatport favourites No Artificial Colours and Bristol garage-pop pair Az&Tor.
