BRIGHTON new wave rappers MOK introduce themselves as they prepare to release next single Cut-Loose.
“We have all been close friends for a long time. A few of us even went to school together. We started writing songs as MOK around three to four years ago but we have all been making music in different projects for most of our lives.
“Our biggest show would probably be either Brownstock Festival which we played this year with Dizzee Rascal and De La Soul, or Shakedown in 2012. They were both big shows and huge fun to play. Our favourite gigs have been playing our own night at The Haunt in Brighton, there’s always such a great turn out and the vibe is crazy!
“We’ve put out a few tracks since Hey! was released [the band’s debut single in August 2012]. In 2014 we released two brand new singles Always Island and Rule The World, you can watch both videos on Youtube. We’re really happy with all the support they’ve been shown, but we’re not looking at putting an album together just yet.”
