Charity Chuckle
Komedia, Gardner Street, Brighton, Tuesday, February 9, 8pm, £10/£5, 0845 2938480
KOMEDIA’S yuckfest has raised more than £18,000 for a variety of local charities since 2009, but this bumper bill could be its last.
Organisers Kerry Herbert and Jim Holland have promised to give it a good send-off though, with a mystery guest popping down to see the city institution off.
Already announced are Brighton’s own Zoe Lyons (pictured), BBC Radio 2’s New Comedy Award and Brighton Comedy Festival Squawkers Award winner Yuriko Kotani and Harriet Kemsley, winner of the Brighton Comedy Festival New Act Of The Year 2015, as well as Bobby Mair and David James.
The charity set to benefit this month is Brighton and Hove Impetus, which works to reduce isolation and improve the wellbeing of people in Brighton and Hove.
