Basement Jaxx and the fireworks finale rounded off another fantastic Camp Bestival in a fittingly feel-good way. Radio One DJ Rob Da Bank and his wife Josie have expertly kept this family friendly festival fresh with a magic combination that keeps toddlers, teenagers and parents buzzing with joy.

It's one of those festivals where you can ignore the programme and stumble into fantastic attractions like the roaming Caravan of Lost Souls circus show.

When we sheltered from the rain in the Big Top tent the all-girl Duran Duran tribute act Joanne Joanne were a party on their own.

Unlike other festivals Camp Bestival has not tried to pack too many people in and has added more stages and other attractions while retaining the fabulous children's areas.

The bandstand epitomised the way mums and dads could relax to the music while their children played yards away. The new Caravanserai area of drinking booths made out of cars, Waltzer seats and caravans was great fun, like drinking on the set of Mad Max.

And the festival still pulls in some great acts for music fans. Hip Hop legends De La Soul were special and will live long in the memory of those lucky enough to be there.
