Rock Around The Clock sees Eastbourne shake, rattle and roll back to the 1950s - the time of Teddy boys, poodle skirts, blue suede shoes and, most importantly, rock ‘n’ roll.
The music that defines this iconic era is celebrated in fine form by a talented and charismatic cast of 13 singers and dancers.
Infectiously enthusiastic, their energy maintains a high level throughout the show, which includes hits by legends Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, Elvis Presley, Little Richard and Jerry Lee Lewis.
This night of nostalgia features the toe-tapping songs Great Balls Of Fire, Jailhouse Rock, Good Golly Miss Molly and Johnny B Goode. The delighted audience struggled to keep still and were jigging in their seats and clapping along.
More than a mere karaoke sing-along, the superb cast showcases strong vocals and tight harmonies, perfectly complimented by challenging choreography and fun costumes.
Originally devised for a Monte Carlo casino, it is not surprising that this American show has gone on to entertain audiences around the world.
The explosive finale features a mash-up of hits and proves that, even after 60 years, the music still rocks.
