This ABBA and Bee Gees concert show instantly created a party atmosphere and ensured the audience danced the night away.

The bright production moved at a brisk pace as the singers and musicians performed lively interpretations of classic songs.

The first half celebrated the music of the Bee Gees and was full to the brim with disco grooves and tight harmonies, including that all-important signature falsetto.

Numbers including Stayin’ Alive, Night Fever, Tragedy and How Deep Is Your Love, as well as the Bee Gees-penned track Islands In The Stream.

The audience were on their feet throughout, joining in with John Travolta-inspired moves.

The second half was dedicated to Swedish pop group ABBA, featuring their greatest hits Mamma Mia, Dancing Queen and Money Money Money.

The versatile vocalists belted out the upbeat tunes, accompanied by polished choreography and sequin-spangled costumes.

The show never took itself too seriously but remained faithful to the material, although the put-on Swedish accents occasionally grated.

The encore was a medley of the Christmas hits: Last Christmas, Merry Christmas Everyone and Merry Christmas Everybody.

The cast then re-appeared to perform ABBA’s Eurovision-winning hit Waterloo, which felt disjointed but the pumped up audience did not seem to mind.
