Brighton bands with increased exposure, huge bands playing intimate venues – Drill Festival had it all this weekend.

Friday’s bill at Concorde 2 saw a polished performance from newcomers Black Honey showing a real ear for catchy tunes with subtle hooks that stay with you.

Lonelady had the room moving with their 1980s funk although displaying one debt too many to Talking Heads. They need to learn to finish their songs with a roar not a whimper.
