This pantomime is a hoot for all the family.

It is full of jokes, drama, song and dance as well some special stage craft that had the children entertained throughout.

The comedian Tucker returned as Potty Pierre and with Martyn Knight as Dame Derrierre provided a double act which stole the show.

They have a natural way of working together which will have the crowds rolling in the aisles all over Christmas with their madcap brand of tomfoolery and comedy action.

Some moments were like Laurel and Hardy, their Abba tribute is hilarious and they provided the classic pantomime lines too.

Adam McNab played an impressive Prince Gallan and The Beast, creating touching moments with Emily Bull as Beauty. His beast costume is frighteningly convincing for the youngsters too.

Carley Stenson, from the TV show Hollyoaks, gave a good turn as the villain Malevolent, showing off her great voice for the Frozen song Let It Go.

My five-year-old daughter and one-year-old son were both entertained all the way through, helped by a hilarious section with children from the crowd.

This pantomime is a great festive treat which put a smile on everyone’s faces as they left the beautiful theatre.
