They were catapulted onto the national stage with their version of Stars.

And based on their dazzling performance at the Brighton Centre, there will be no consternation in Collabro reaching their chosen constellation.

After storming to the Britain's Got Talent title last year it's been non-stop for the five-piece, formed from a love of musical theatre.

But they clearly found time to make their first national tour a polished and thoroughly professional affair.

There was added interest as with Brighton's very own (well Portslade actually) Richard Hadfield, the performance had a feeling of being a homecoming.

Performing a mix of classic songs from the musicals - such as Les Miserables' Bring Him Home and Frozen's Let It Go - as well as the odd pop cover - such as the mesmerising take on John Legend's All Of Me - there was plenty to keep the packed-out audience interested.

With the addition of Britain's Got Talent's Lucy Kay performing a few opera numbers, it was truly genre busting.

If there was a criticism it was that parts of the show, particularly early on, were a little wooden and too rehearsed.

But as the performance went on, the boys relaxed - meaning the songs, culminating in Stars - what else? - were warm, tender and packed with a punch full of emotion.

Simon would be proud.
