Paul Zenon’s one man show takes the audience through his colourful career from his first holiday job working in trick and magic job in Blackpool to becoming a successful magician and actor in his own right.

Interspersed with some classic and well worked magic, Linking Rings at the Rialto explores the influences and inspiration that shaped Paul’s own career giving some interesting insights into the work and support team of perhaps the greatest escapologist of all time, Harry Houdini.

The light-hearted show explores the world of magic and illusion and is a tribute to the magic ship owner in Blackpool, Bill Thompson who gave Paul his early break and supported him on his road to success – and beyond.

The holder of the Gold Star status membership of the Inner Magic Circus Paul is an expert on the history and magic and variety and his story telling and reminiscences has the audience gripped.

Perhaps the only criticism is that the show was fractionally too long and flagged slightly towards the end.

It was nevertheless entertaining and deserves to be a success at the forthcoming Edinburgh Festival.
