Bars and Melody burst onto the music scene last year when Simon Cowell put them through to the live semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent with his golden buzzer. The rest, as they say, is history.

The boys have just completed a gruelling UK and European tour – and are followed by a host of teenage girl fans aptly known as The Bambinos (and their chaperones). A first album is on the verge of being released.

The concert at The Old Market in Hove kicked off with a meet and greet for the more dedicated and affluent fans who were given an opportunity to meet their idols and pose for some selfies and were treated to a preview of some of their best known songs.

R&B/dance duo, JSMV and the energetic boy band, Mister Meanor, set the scene for the final set with the enthusiastic Bambinos on their feet and screaming with delight.

Despite the hype, it would be unfair to say that BAM is just another teenage fad. Charlie Lenehan has a great voice and Leondre Devries is a solid rapper. With the right support and encouragement, the boys have shown they have the talent to be around for a long time.
