Now in its seventh year, Boom Town is the fastest growing UK based festival.

And it looks to continue for many years with its eclectic mixture of genres of music and entertainments.

The festival itself was staged as a make-believe city with different quarters each with its own theme and sounds.

On the streets of BoomTown were pirates and cowboys encouraging revellers into the many hidden parties in narrow walkways of Downtown, Chinatown and the Lions Den zones.

Sights included circus performers, burlesque dancers, mini parties around every corner and some amazing stage set ups including a pirate ship and a giant boom box, rocking out genres including gypsy ska and great bass lines, all suited to the area they were based in.

Whatever your musical tastes there was something for everyone.

Interaction and entertainment was a key element that makes Boom Town Fair so different to many festivals, with costumed street performers around every hidden corner of the festival.

Everywhere there were new sounds to draw you in as well as great smells from the huge variety of food outlets providers the festival's 40,000 revelers with the nourishment needed for a weekend of festivities.

This year the town held its own mayoral elections, passports and political history.

And at the same time actors sparked a revolution against the autocratic town mayor, plastering the walls with anarchist propaganda.

With partiers were able to vote and the finale was seeing the town's Mayor being overthrown on Sunday night's finale at the town's news stage – The Bang Hai Place.

This mega structure, nine stories high, streamed out the very best in drum and bass, electronic and rave from across the globe. It was a sight to behold with fantastic light shows and pyrotechnics.

The festival's license requirements saw the festivities called to an end at midnight on the Sunday.

Festival revellers were left wandering around longing for something else to do, however after than much fun and excitement it was perhaps time to call time for this year.

But it is not to be missed in 2016.
