Alien Ant Form topped an impressive list of metal rockers with InMe and The Dirty Youth for the final concert of their UK tour.

The American band who had a worldwide hit with a cover of Michael Jackson’s Smooth Criminal in 2001, have sold an amazing five million discs since they began playing ten years ago – the same year InMe got together at school to form their band.

The backbone of the Ants is undoubtedly Dryden Mitchell whose distinctive and emotional vocals add depth to the band.

InMe stood out for some intricate guitar work with three guitars linking and weaving together.

This was not an evening for the faint hearted but tickets sold out well in advance and each of the bands received enthusiastic support.

The place was crammed by the time the Ants hit the stage.

The bands have played gigs at 16 different UK venues since 5 January this year.

The demands of the tour must be gruelling but none of this seemed to dampen the energy of any of the bands – or if it did, no one noticed.
